The 47 mm case of the astonishing watch has 224 precious gemstones. While the dial has 130 precious stones, there are 16 on the crown and 18 on the buckle. There are thus a total of 388 tsavorite baguettes adorning the timepiece of the five-time Golden Ball winner. More resistant than emeralds and offering greater depth than green sapphires, tsavorites are favoured by the American watchmaker for its creations. The dial of the watch only features minute and hour hands, a large flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock and the Jacob & Co. logo.
Tsavorite stones are the most expensive of all garnets. They are roughly 200 times rarer than emeralds. Visible through the case back, it is accompanied by an oscillating weight which, like the movement, is set with 338 brilliant-cut white diamonds. An 18-carat white gold folding clasp and a hand-sewn green alligator leather strap complete the look of this astonishing watch.
