Luxury fashion labels use the best quality materials available to make their garments. Not all garments are created equally. While similar materials can be used, high-end brands may use better quality or higher-end materials. Two labels may use the same quality cotton for their t-shirts, but a more high-end label may use high-quality cotton manufactured to a higher standard.

Luxury brands thrive on exclusivity as their garments aim to appeal to high-class citizens. These high-end brands offer one-of-a-kind clothing to their customer. Although exclusivity doesn’t just come with a certain amount of products, it can also show through the type of materials the brands are using. If the brands are going to outsource rare jewellery for a clothing collection, it can mark up the price significantly.
Higher Cost Of Labor
Luxury brands like Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Dior, etc often use labor from Europe and America which often costs them higher wages. The amount of people working on one single design is also one of the factor factors for higher prices. A large number of people work on the designer brand’s pipeline which needs high payment. As people like fashion designers and sewers work who work for luxury brands are compensated accordingly.
You’re paying for the Label
The branding that goes along with designer clothes is a big factor in high prices. A lot of the time there’s a lot more to designer clothes than just a logo or brand on the piece of clothing. Paying for branding means you’re paying for everything about the label. Wearing a particular brand means you’re part of that club, whatever label it is.
The detailing of the garments
High-end brands pay more attention to the dealing of their garments in garments such as shirts and t-shirts the quality stitching, or a better fit would be more looked at. In jeans and jackets, this could be better quality zippers, rivets, buttons and other details on the garment. Working with smaller quantities can mean more attention to detail in the product, but this also leads to higher costs and therefore higher prices.
